National October Holiday on Emei (October 2)

Its the Golden Week of the National Holiday so we take a walk to see what is happening around Baguan Temple and Baguan Village.

AS we walked up the hill to the west gate of the campus, we came across this guy crossing the street. He ended up being very photogenic, if not friendly.

The fifteen minute walk to the temple was crowded with vacationers. Baguan Temple had people everywhere taking pictures and lounging around. Cars were parked in every possible spot.

This is one of the biggest holidays of the year and vacationers and visitors were everywhere.

The entrance that led to Fu Hu Temple was equally crowed. Cars and people everywhere.

Instead of walking up to Fu Hu Temple we decided to take a stroll to the big expensive hotel and walk around the pond next to the hotel. The above pictures show that no many people were interested in this option. The pond area was quiet and made for a very pleasant walk.

Sunee takes a break from our stroll around the pond.

From where Sunee was taking her break, I took a picture of the obviously Chinese bridge across the pond.

Another bridge to the left was build for cars and was much more substantial but still very Chinese.

We finished our stroll and walked back down to Baguan Village where hundreds of people were milling around taking pictures and relaxing.

This is that beautiful bronze pagoda that I must have taken a hundred pictures of. Bet some of these people have also taken that many pictures of it as well.
