Halloween Party: Sophomore Class 3 (October 29)

Halloween Party! This was organized and enjoyed by the sophomores of Class Number Three. Mr. Otway set everything up and we all had a wonderful time as you can see.

Halloween Masters of Ceremony

Mr. Otway did a splendid job of organizing and running the classes Halloween Party.

Ms. Killua told the story of Halloween to get things going.

Word Search Contest: Trick Or Treat

Contestants worked to make up words from the Halloween words - Trick Or Treat.

Halloween Masks

The "real" boogyman showed up to terrorize the party revelers. Slice and dice, anyone?

Great masks of all kinds - scary, cute and super scary!

Pumpkin Carving

Mr. Otway provided three pumpkins to have a pumpkin carving contests. The pumpkins were quite different than those found in the US and in Europe but they served the purpose. Great fun carving as can be seen.

Pete and his team claimed this to be a picture of me - the real pumpkin man.

The ladies did one of the better jobs, cutting all the way through the pumpkin to make a mask-like appearance.

Sophia and Lisa with their work of art. Sophia is a visiting student from another department. She sits in on my class to improve her already excellent English.

This is the pumpkin I started but several of the students finished. Unique eyes, mouth and beard, don't you think?

Yoyo just loved her carved pumpkin.

Mr. Henry took charge of the pumpkin I started with. He worked hard to come up with a huge mouth and beard.

The Hair Pumpkin Girl.

This group worked long and hard to finish their pumpkin. Each sliced a bit here and there.

Ms. Killua working on her pumpkin.

I just knew that one of the students would have an accident. Too many people working on too few pumpkins. Turned out Ms. Grace Sprite sliced open her finger but it was not that bad.

Cutting and slicing the pumpkin.

This pumpkin looked like the Alien Pumpkin with the big eyes.

We were in Lawton for Halloween. Neat pictures of your classes on Halloween. Since we were in Lawton, we didn:t have any kids come to our house, but we, generally, don:t have any kids, spooks or ghosts, on Halloween. They all go into Anadarko, where the candy is.

We ate out and went to a Trunk And Treat celebration. It was cool as cool could be. Cars, vans and SUVs parked between the Christian Church and Methodist Church in Lawton and then they all opened their trunks where there were treats and scary items. One was really scary and scared some kids into crying. Seth got a lot of candy and was quite happy. It is called Trunk And Treat, and most Disciples of Christ Churches now participate.

We ate at Garfields and visited some displays in the MALL, in Lawton, where GARFIELDS IS LOCATED.
